iPhone SE 2020 was launched on 15 April, which is a new iPhone for less money than ever in the iPhone brand. It has the same old look. But this iPhone is now trending pretty well in the mid-range market. So should you buy this phone? From my depth review, you will get to know.

Features of iPhone SE 2020

Design and display

The iPhone SE is available in three colors- black, white, and red. It has the same old design as the iPhone 8. The display is also the same as the iPhone 8. At this stage, iPhone flagship phones have a very top-notch design; on the other hand, it gives hardly any bezels. However, the iPhone SE is a more lightweight phone than older models. There is no headphone jack on the phone. The phone is sturdy with glass and aluminum design.

The iPhone SE 4.7 inches touchscreen display with Retina IPS LED panel. It has 750 x 1334 pixels. The regulations aren’t top end like recent iPhones, but it gives a clearer view. It is clear that the display isn’t so feature-rich but it is okay for those who want a new iPhone. However, brightness is more improved. It has an IP67 water-resistant that means it will survive 30 minutes in 1 meter of water. There is a fingerprint sensor on the home button and works excellent for ID to detect.

Camera

The camera of the iPhone SE is simply so good that it can compete with many flagship phones. But there is one expectation: the night mode, which is not available on the iPhone SE.

The phone features a single 12 MP rear camera and a 7 MP front camera. Though it doesn’t have Ultra-wide, or telephoto lens A13 Bionic chip improves the camera performance. It can take beautiful portraits with portrait lighting effects. I am very impressed to see how many details it catches. The phone also can record 4k video at up to 60 fps and gives more details with shadow and better highlights.

Performance

The iPhone SE will give you great performance like a pro. It has state-of-the-art A13 Bionic chips, the same as iPhone 11 and iPhone 11 Pro. So you will enjoy fast and responsive performance. Like opening an app and switching between apps is lag-free. Scrolling the phone gives a smooth feel. However, the iPhone SE is packed with 64GB, 128GB, 256GB of internal memory, and 4GB of RAM.

Battery and charging

The iPhone SE is graded for less battery so that it won’t give you the longest endurance. Apple didn’t release the capacity of the battery, but I hope that it will have an 1821 mAh battery similar to the iPhone 8. According to Apple, the iPhone SE will stay for 13 hours of video playback. But in reality, it may be less. With a full charge, the battery lasts for a day. By the way, you will get a fast charger in the box. It comes with an 18W charger that charges 0 to over 50% in 30minutes. You can also charge it with a wireless charger as the phone is Qi-charging enabled.

Pros

  • Bright display.
  • Lightweight phone.
  • Fast processor.
  • Solid camera.
  • Fast charger.
  • Wireless charging enabled.

Cons

  • Old design.
  • The battery could be better.

Final Verdict:

The iPhone SE 2020 is an affordable iPhone to beat. The performance of the phone is quite impressive. It can be a desirable phone for those who want an iPhone. Moreover, you will have a bright display and a remarkable performance.
